Let us tell you something horrifying (or exciting, depending on how you view this) – Christmas is actually just around the corner!Neither sibling seems able to be entirely honest with or able to stand up to their wealthy, but well-meaning parents, who welcome Haf into the family with open arms. There is so much to love about this book - the way that Haf loves everything with her whole heart, to the way she and Kit had such a perfect meet cute. I’d love to say my favourite scene is Haf and Kit’s first kiss, but to be honest, I remember the quest for the lost baby reindeer much better. It was the first queer Christmas film I’d ever seen, and it got me thinking about what if I wrote a rompy, chaotic, good-feelings romcom, like so many of the movies and books with a central heterosexual relationship that come out every year?
